A Very Runge Wedding!

David and Megan got married this past Saturday. Jeff was a groomsman. He was very excited. The last time we saw David was when Bama won the National Championship two years ago. He hadn't even met Megan yet! David's little sister, Leah, and I are really good friends, so I was excited to see her too! Plus, neither one of them had met our sweet little boy! Jeff was busy with all of the wedding festivities so H and I did our own little thing, which meant hitting up the mall in Decatur. :) We had a lot of fun though. The wedding was beautiful. Again, the weather was awesome!!  All of the leaves on the trees were turning colors. I think Jeff got tired of me talking about how pretty the trees were there. The wedding was outside, so of course, Harrison was very content. We didn't get to stay long at the reception due to the time and a little boy needing to get in bed. We didn't really have enough time with them. Hopefully, the Runges (all of them) will be planning a trip to Houston soon!!

Sweet Home Alabama

A few months ago, Jeff got a call from his roomy in college saying that he was engaged!! We were so excited for him. David has been there for every part of our journey as a couple, so we wanted to be there for him, (Jeff and I actually started dating on David's birthday, 7 years ago!) The wedding was in Cullman, Al. Since it was in Alabama, I decided that Harrison and I would go home a few days early to spend some time with my family. We don't get to see them that much, and a lot of them haven't met Harrison yet. Katie and Taryn came out here a few days before to drive with Harrison and me. I was so thankful. It would have been so much harder to make an eight hour road trip by myself with a four-month old. Taryn and Harrison had so much fun, well, as much fun as two infants can have. They tried to eat each others' hands and hung out on the mat together! I will say though, these two kids are COMPLETE OPPOSITES! Taryn is more laid back. She is good wherever she is. Harrison loves to be entertained and is always moving! I am in serious trouble when he becomes mobile! My grandfather said that is just the boy in him.
Happy cousins!
We left last Friday, and made it home in about eight hours or so. They both did really well on the trip. Harrison got a little fussy around Mobile, but we stopped to eat, and he was happy as a clam! It was a little late by the time we got to my mom's (they were in Butler, Al for Jesie's football game.) We stopped by to see my grandparents. As you may remember, they met Harrison when he was about half the size he is now. He LOVED them! He was cracking up at Paw-paw! They were best buds!  Nanny and Paw-paw have 9 grandkids and 5 great-grandkids now, so they know their stuff! Harrison got hungry, so we went to Mom's and let him eat and got him ready for bed. In the mornings, after Harrison ate, he would spend some time with Gigi (my mom) while I got a little bit more sleep.  It was so nice! My Nanny's birthday was earlier that week, so Mom and them planned a party that Sunday that we were home. A lot of the family came and we got to eat roast. Nanny and Paw-paw usually fix one when I come home, because they know it's my absolute favorite!!!!! We spent our time home shopping, visiting and relaxing! We got to go see my dad's mom, Me-me. We also saw my dad's brother and his wife the night we got there. We went to eat, and they came in! I got to go see some friends from high school, and we saw Drew and her family. Harrison loved Honey (Drew's mom) and Brantley. Harrison also got to meet our sweet friend, Jamia and her family.  It was so wonderful to see family and friends. Harrison LOVED it there. He got to be outside all the time, and ride the golf cart. The weather was wonderful. It actually felt like fall! I took a lot of pictures, but not as many as I would have liked. I didn't get one of Harrison and my mom, or Aunt Laura, or Katie, or Jamia. I dropped the ball on that one. :(

Aunt Jesie decided to feed H his cereal...

and this is what he looked like afterwards.

He convinced Paw-paw to let him drive. :)

I loved going home. I was very excited to see Jeff that Thursday, but I did not want to leave home, especially since Harrison seemed like he had such a good time. We miss everyone so much already!!

4 Months!

Harrison is 4 months old...already!!! It's crazy. These past few months have flown by. I love getting to know this little boy more and more each day.

At four months, Harrison:

-rolls over both directions! He actually went from his back to his belly for the first time today! Of course, when I tried to get him to do it on camera, he wouldn't! He likes to prove me wrong a lot!
-talks, talks, talks!! He will be on his mat, and I swear he is having conversations with the animals down there with him!
-sleeping through the night...most nights. He is also getting better with naps. He has taken a two-hour nap for the past two days, and has been in such a wonderful mood!
-is trying to get his feet! He will sit up (supported, of course) and bend over and try to get them. He hasn't quite gotten them yet, but he's working on it.
-has had green beans!! He loves them. The first day was a little iffy, but after that, he couldn't get enough. His dad doesn't like veggies, so I was wondering how he would do.
-still LOVES being outside!

We have a very eventful week or two coming up. Aunt Katie and Taryn are coming tomorrow, and we are SUPER excited!! Then, we are going home to Alabama on Friday. We will be there for a few days, and then Jeff will come in next Thursday. His roommate from college, David, is getting married on the 29th.

Pumpkin Patch

This past Sunday, we all ventured out to take the kids to the Pumpkin Patch. We went last year while I was pregnant, but I wanted to take Harrison...kind of starting a tradition, I guess. I was very excited about taking some pictures out there! We didn't stay long. It was super hot, and the boy had had a long day already. So....here are the pictures!
Thought this one was cute of Reese.

Silly!

I like how they both are looking away!

4 Month Check-up & Photos

We went to see Dr. Chandler today. I was very anxious to see how much Harrison weighs and how tall he is.  I know that he has grown a TON. We also had a couple questions about food and nap time (which we are still having a little trouble with.)
Jeff met me there, because, as we all know, I can't handle the shots! Before we got all of the measurements, Harrison decided to be a funny kid and tinkle all over Mama! Yes, right there in the doctor's office. I was soaked! I guess that's what I get for taking him to get stuck in the leg!
Harrison weighs 15 lbs even, and is 24.50 inches long!! He is in the 50% for weight and 30% for length. Dr. Chandler said that he seems very very happy and perfect! He didn't cry at all while she was doing the exam. He is now allowed to have cereal in the evening, and in about a week, after he has time to adjust to the cereal, he can start having veggies! We will introduce a new one every three or four days. As for naps, she said that once we get the food down and he sleeps consistently through the night, I need to put him down for a nap as the same exact time each day. Hopefully, we will get on track.
All and all, our little boy is doing GREAT!! He was such a good boy in the office. He did cry after the shots. I did manage to hold it together today. He was a little fussy when we got home, but nothing too bad.
I was also going to share some pictures I have taken lately. I didn't take Harrison to get pictures made. Jeff got me a great camera for Mother's Day, and I told myself that I was going to learn how to take good pictures. I feel like I am getting better, but I am a far cry from professional. I am learning new things everyday with the photos, and I usually take at least 10 a day! This poor kid is going to hate pictures when he gets older! Anyway, here are a few from this past week.
