16 Weeks!!

Holy cow...I'm already through 16 weeks of pregnancy with baby Luker 2! I can't believe it. I FINALLY have stopped getting sick...thank goodness!! I have felt so much better, a lot more energy and everything. We had our 16 week checkup this past week, and everything looks great! The heart rate was 150. Dr. Giannotti said, "wow, you have an active one in there." Super! Another active child! I guess I will always be on my toes. :)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: back to my pre-pregnancy weight :)
Maternity Clothes: still none yet, but I think those maternity leggings are calling my name!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Whew...I can't believe we are already to Thanksgiving this year. It has flown by!! This Thanksgiving, my MIL decided to have all of us over at her house. She locked us down about July for this holiday. When we asked what to bring, she said, "I want to do it by myself. Y'all don't have to bring anything." I said, "SOLD." This pregnant mama was up for a stress free Thanksgiving. I like where all I have to do is eat. Lately, eating has been my favorite thing to do. We joined Natalie, Mike, Telena, Reese, Grayson, Amanda (Mike's daughter) and her two kids, Gabby and Devin, Roy (Amanda's boyfriend) and Roy's mom. We also brought along our adoptive family members, David and Megan. The food was AWESOME. Mike got a fried turkey, and Natalie cooked corn casserole, green bean casserole, potatoes, rolls and cranberry salad. She also cooked pecan pies, chocolate delight and a pumpkin pie for Jeff. Harrison decided to sleep through his second Thanksgiving. He did eat a fair amount of turkey when he woke up. The Texans managed a win, and I managed to eat so much that I could hear my sweatpants calling my name all the way from Conroe. :)
"Cheese"

He's growing up so fast. :(

Harrison and Gammy

Grayson.

LOVE!

Uncle Jeff and Grayson.
I have so many things to be thankful for right now, I don't even know where to begin. I am truly one blessed girl. I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving like we did! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Silly Boy!

We haven't done too much lately, due to my sickness with the pregnancy, Jeff having a cold, and Harrison not feeling well, either. However, I have managed to take some very silly pictures of our sweet boy. Honestly, he gets more and more personality each day. I know I go on and on about this kid, but I just can't get enough of how he is becoming his own little person. Anyways, I will get to the pictures!! :)
Jeff and Harrison were playing with my phone, and Jeff took some pics of this guy. He says, "cheese" when you pull out the camera.

You HAVE to wear your sunglasses out and about!

This was Friday. He wasn't feeling his best. I will also say that he is in his Daddy's chair. Not everyone gets privileges of sitting in "Big Easy."

Last Tuesday when we went to vote! He was the hit of the voting booth!

Hopefully, we will get out and about more in the next couple of weeks and I will have more to post!

12 Weeks

I FINALLY made it to the second trimester! *happy dance* We had our 12 week appointment this past Wednesday. We go to see our little one. Harrison was more interested in the decorations in the tech's office than the baby on the monitor.  The heartbeat was 155. It was down from the 176 four weeks ago.  Dr. G said that everything looked really good. We are scheduled to go back in four weeks. I asked about finding out what the baby is, and I told him that we would have to wait until after Christmas if we were going to wait until 20 weeks. :( Dr. Giannotti, being the wonderful doctor he is, told us that we can come back at 18 weeks (that's the Wednesday before Christmas!) and we can do the gender scan!! WE WIN!
Stretching out and enjoying sleepy time!

12 Weeks

Size of Baby: the size of a passion fruit
Total Weight Gain/Loss: down 7 lbs. :(
Maternity Clothes: not yet. Although, I don't think it will be too much longer
Gender: 6 more weeks!!
Movement: not yet. I'm ready though!
Sleep: well, I have to take Phenergan every night, so I sleep pretty well.
What I miss: FOOD!!!! and Dr. Pepper
Cravings: just apple juice lately
Symptoms: I have still been pretty sick. Dr. G said it may last until I'm about 16 weeks. That was not what I wanted to hear. :( Maybe it will go away sooner, though.
Best Moment This Week: getting to see Baby 2 on the ultrasound.

I didn't document the pregnancy with Harrison as much as I had wanted. I saw this on a blog that I follow, and I thought it was a great way to keep up with everything.

Happy Halloween!

A little late, but I hope everyone had a "super" Halloween. Harrison was going to be a monster for Halloween, since he loves "scaring" people. However, the monster costumes that they had for his age were either too hot or Harrison couldn't walk well. We opted for Superman instead. I must say, out of all the Supermans I have seen, this guy was the most handsome! We started out the day by going by to see Daddy, Papa and David at the dealership. Megan managed to swing by and check him out as well. He was a very friendly superhero at the dealership. He got his first "treat" of the evening. After that, we went over to Aunt Teeny's. Ever since Reese was old enough to trick-or-treat, we have went around their neighborhood. It has turned into a little tradition. Shay brought over pizzas for everyone. We enjoyed the evening with Gammy, Aunt Teeny, Reese, Grayson, Shay, Rebecca, and some of Telena's friends from church. We had so much fun! Harrison thoroughly enjoyed the wagon that Gammy had bought for going around the neighborhood. He would say, "weeeeeee," when we would go down a hill or something. He even caught the attention of a guy dressed as a hotdog. Apparently, he had a small obsession with Superman himself. We didn't get too much candy, because it would just be me eating it all. I think it is safe to say that Harrison had a great time, though. He slept in pretty late the next morning. :) Enjoy the pictures!
It was very hectic so I failed as an aunt/mom and didn't get any pictures of the cousins together. :(
The wagon!

Starting early at the dealership. He'll be desking deals before we know it!

I LOVE this look on his face. He did NOT want to stop drinking his milk for a photo op. I like to think that he was really just posing to look like a serious hero!

This was earlier in the day. He has become obsessed with shoes lately, and he wanted "Daddeeee's" soos on. :)

Pumpkin Patch

Today, we headed out to the Pumpkin Patch with Teeny, Grayson (the newest little addition to the family) Reese, and Gammy. Shay and Rebecca (Reese's BFF) met us there. There has been a terrible cold going around over here, and Jeff has caught it. Harrison is going through the last part of it himself. It was very crowded. We waited until today due to Teeny recovering from Grayson's eventful birth. Post to follow. :) It was cool, which was a nice change from last year when we were sweating out there.
Harrison LOVED all the pumpkins. He kept saying, "BALL!" He also loved the train! Every time it would come by, he would laugh hysterically. It was too cute. We didn't ride the train. The line was very long. We opted to ride the hay ride instead. Once it got going, he liked it. The pumpkin patch is the same place where Jeff and I get our Christmas tree every year, so we got to see all of the Christmas trees growing. We had so much fun with everybody. We even brought Daddy a souvenir home. :)
Teeny, Grayson, Reese, Gammy, Me and H on the hay ride.

H and his "ball" he was taking to Daddy.

He was not very happy about taking his picture!

LOVED THEM!!!

I'm not really sure who he was giving the stink eye to!

"Cheese!"
I have so many more pictures, but for some reason the blog site is being dumb, and it won't upload anymore! Oh, well.

We're Expecting...Again!

Yep, you read that right. The Lukers are expanding to FOUR!!! Wow! That sounds a little strange. I better get used to it though!
*I don't usually divulge medical information on here, but I feel for everyone to understand how big of a miracle (and surprise) this baby is, I need to tell.  Don't worry, nothing weird. :) *
Back in July, I had to have a small surgery. I had been having a lot of pain, and Dr. Giannotti wanted to  check it out. I have had the same surgery before I got pregnant with Harrison. It was the same as the last time...adhesions and endometriosis. He removed everything, and I was feeling so much better. When I went back for my 6-week post-op appointment, he told me that if we were going to have another child, it needed to be fast. My body apparently isn't going to hold up too much longer in the baby department. He also said that we needed to go straight to the fertility doctor this time. The sooner the better. I believe I was in shock after he told me all of this. Jeff, of course, was very optimistic, as always. I did not go into that appointment thinking that I would walk out with a small time frame to have another child. We made an appointment with the fertility doctor, and we met with him. We planned to do the same as last time, injections and IUI.
I had been feeling very strange right around my birthday. I had been VERY dizzy. I never felt like that with Harrison. I didn't know what was going on. Reese came over on a Thursday night to stay the night with us. I am not sure why I picked that night to take a test, but I did. Took it, and it was POSITIVE! You could have knocked me over with a feather. I had been praying ever since seeing Dr. Giannotti that everything would work out well this time. I don't think that I EVER thought that it would happen like this. *P.S. trying to hide my shock from a very intelligent four-year old was probably the toughest part.* Of course, it felt like Jeff stayed at work forever that night. When he got home, I showed him the test. His response- "Shut up! Are you serious?" I wanted to say something like he would say, like, "nope, just got someone pregnant to take the test for me, just to see how you would react." :)  Fast forward to this past Wednesday, we went for our first ultrasound and to see Dr. G. The baby's heartbeat was 176. A lot higher than Harrison's ever was. I am due May 22, but since I had a C-section with H, I will be able to deliver in my 39th week. No more overdue baby!! Everything looks great!
I think everyone has been a little shocked. A few family members and friends have known that we were going to have to go back to the fertility doctor, so when this happened, they were a little thrown off. This pregnancy has been so different from Harrison's. I have been VERY sick. With H, I was just nauseated, never really got sick. Not this time!!
First photo!

Of course, Harrison doesn't really know what's going on right now, but I know he will be such a great big brother. He has such a fun and loving personality. Jeff and I are very excited about this little miracle. We were beyond blessed before. I'm not really sure what we did to deserve two of the most precious gifts a family could receive, but we'll take them. :)

15 months

It has been a whole 15 months since we welcomed our sweet baby boy. It has FLOWN by!

Harrison:
- is WALKING!!!!! He is still a little clumsy with it, but he is getting better and better.  He has new shoes and everything. I've been trying to get a video of him walking, but I get so excited when he goes, that the last thing I think about is getting my phone out.
- is talking so much!! Of course he has Da-dddeeee, Mama, puppy, bye (he has quite the southern accent with bye,) uh-oh and nommie down pat! He has also started saying "Jesie" for my sister. He sees her picture and points and says her name. Every day, he seems to have new sounds coming out of his mouth. I think always knew he was going to be a talker, but I think I'm in for a wild ride with his chattiness.
-weighs 25 lbs. He is in the 80th percentile (high again.)
- is 31 inches tall. He is in the 40th percentile. He seems to be getting higher in the height, but he's always been in the high percentile for weight.
- is becoming more and more independent. This is where I'm torn. I'm so glad that he is learning so much, but it means that he is growing in every way. He's not a little baby anymore. :(
- is in between 18 and 24 months in clothes. His top half seems to grown out of clothes a little faster than his short little legs. But lately, clothes have been his nemesis, as well as diapers. I have went in his room a few times in the morning and after his nap, and the kid is sans pants! We are going to work on this. Hopefully, it's just a stage.
- has kicked the bottle fully. I think I was having more of a hard time than Harrison was. Again, it meant that my baby was growing up. :(
- has 12 teeth!!! He has recently gotten all four of his one-year molars.
- he had his 15 month appointment this morning, and he did so well. Dr. Chandler said that he is growing very well, and he looks PERFECT!! He got four shots today. He had three vaccinations and I asked if he could go ahead and get his flu shot since we were already doing this shot deal. The last thing I want to do is take him up there to get another shot. He was so brave...a lot braver than Mama. We stopped by to see everyone at the office, and then came on home for him to sleep. He slept for a while, woke up, and fell back asleep later. I was reading him a book in the rocking chair, and he fell asleep. He NEVER does that! He loves to go to sleep on his own, and he has always been that way. The shots wore the baby out.

Today at his appointment!
Still loving his truck!

These are his sunglasses, which he only wears inside. He can wear them wherever though. He looks too cute!!

This was on Tuesday, his actual 15-month day!
Happy 15 months sweet boy!!! Mama and Daddy love you, love you, love you!!!

Turning 23...Again!!

No, I'm still not 23. Fooled ya, didn't I? :)  I turned 28 today, but I still like to think that I'm 23. Wishful thinking, right??
Sunday, we celebrated by going to Macaroni Grill with the family and David and Megan. It was a great time!! We had cake and gifts. Jeff and Harrison got me a set of pearl earrings. I LOVE them!! I haven't taken them out since.  I also got some gift cards, clothes, etc. I always enjoy doing birthday lunches with the whole family! Thank you again for all the gifts and coming to lunch guys!!
Gabby and Reese.

My two favorite guys!

The Runges. David and Megan

Katie and Teeny

Mr. Terry and Amy...aka..Papa and Mimi

Amanda and Roy

Mike and Natalie...aka...Paw-paw Mike and Gammy

:)

Notice Harrison's fake smile. :) That kid is hilarious!

This kid is pretty funny herself! Love her!!

After lunch Sunday, Megan, Harrison and I decided to catch one of David and Jeff's flag-football games. I caught this before it started.
I'm pretty lucky, huh??
Today, Harrison and I took it pretty easy. I decided to be lazy today since it was my birthday. This afternoon, we went to watch Reese at dance and went to eat afterward.  I loved spending the whole day with Harrison. He is getting more and more personality. I laugh almost the whole time with him. He has his 15 month appointment next week, so stay tuned for the update on the little guy!

Teeny's Baby Shower

Shay (Telena's good friend) and I started planning a baby shower for her a couple months ago. We wanted to wait until Reese was back from the Cape to make sure that she was there to share in all the excitement and festivities. Shay came up with the elephant theme because of Alabama. Yes, shocking, I know that it wasn't me that came up with it. Shay still says that she bleeds burnt orange for UT! The shower went great! The cake was adorable and tasted fantastic! Baby Pitts racked up on a TON of clothes and towels. He will be very well dressed and squeaky clean! :)
The cake!!

Teeny and Reese...big sister.

Reese was such a big helper!

Teeny and I have a tradition of giving each other the diaper bags for the babies. This was the new baby's!

Teeny only has about six weeks left, and then we get to meet the newest addition!! Can't wait!
