*First, let me warn everyone that this post will have A LOT of pictures.*
This past weekend, Telena, Ms. Natalie and Mary ( she taught at Bammel when I tutored, and she and Telena have always been good friends. She has always been super nice!) threw a baby shower for the little man and me. I saw the invitations a couple weeks ago, and I became very excited. It was a pirate theme...Harrison's dad has a little bit of an obsession with pirates. :) The invitations were adorable, and I knew if the shower was anything like the invitations, it would be a blast! I showed up, and the house looked wonderful. Here are a few of the decorations!!

I felt so special to see all of the people that had shown up for my shower. The hostesses spent a lot of time and energy on everything!

Thursday, I got a VERY special surprise at my house!! I had taken Thursday off because we were having hard wood floors put in the dining room. Jeff was supposed to go in late, but he said that he had a meeting early that morning so he would have to go in early. Well, last minute, his "meeting" was cancelled. I didn't think anything of it. I went into the dealership after the floors were done (I got a new car,) and after I was done there, I went to get a pedicure. Halfway through the pedicure, I got a call from Jeff's mom. She asked where I was, and then said that she and Telena had a surprise for me at the house. I asked the lady how long it was going to be and she said, "five to seven minutes." Well, twenty minutes later, I was leaving. I got home, walked in, turned the corner and my very very best friend from home was standing there!!!! Drew had flown in for the shower and to stay a few days!!!! I almost went into labor I was so excited!!! Jeff was supposed to pick her up from the airport that morning, but because of the bad weather, her flight was delayed until that afternoon. She and Teeny had this planned for over a month! I had no clue, but it was such a wonderful surprise!! We were gone the go the whole time she was here, but I had so much fun!! We don't get to see each other as much as we like, so while we are together, we have to pack everything in. Drew and her husband will be coming out here when Harrison is born to stay a few days, so it won't be long before I see her again. |
I want to thank everyone that came to the shower and made the day very special. Also, a huge thanks to my sweet SIL, MIL and Mary! I can't tell you how much it means that y'all went out of your way to make sure that Jeff, Harrison and I have what we need. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family!!!
