3D Ultrasound...Part 2!

We had to go back to Dr. Giannotti's office this morning to have the 3D ultrasound redone.  Harrison was a little sleepy and uncooperative the first day.  Gammy, Aunt Teeny and "Big Cousin" Reese joined us again this morning.  He was moving a little bit more. However, when I rolled over on my side (so the tech could try to get a better look,) he snuggled in and obstructed our view of his little face. Before that happened, we did get some shots of him sticking his tongue out and putting his hands in his mouth.  He even had his little eyes open for a picture or two. He's looking more and more like a little Luker, and we can't wait to meet the little man! Here are a couple of the pictures from today!

His eyes opened!

The heartbeat was 157 today, so everything is looking good as we move into the final 10 weeks!! We go back on April 12 for our visit with Dr. Giannotti.  After that, we will go back every two weeks!!!

3D Ultrasound and Dr.'s Visit

Today, we had our 3D ultrasound to see little Harrison! Gammy, Aunt Teeny and Reese came along for the visit! However, our sweet little man didn't cooperate like we had hoped.  He slept the entire time! Of course on any other day, he would be bouncing around. We did get to watch for a little bit, and did manage to get some great shots of his little face! We have conflicting reports on whose nose the boy has. :) The ultrasound tech did say that we can come back in two weeks to try again. So, hopefully, he will be cooperating that day.
After the ultrasound, we went to see Dr. Giannotti.  He said that everything is looking great. Harrison's heart rate was 142 when Dr. G measured it. He said that all of my measurements are right on track. I also had my glucose test today. They will have the results in a couple days, and if nothing is wrong, we won't hear from them.
We go back on March 29 for the next 3D ultrasound, and April 12 for our next visit with Dr. G. After that, I will start seeing him every two weeks! It's getting so close!! Friday, I will be 28 weeks!
Here are some pictures of Harrison. :)

The rest of the week is pretty busy and exciting!! Jeff and I are going to register at the hospital tomorrow.  Thursday, Telena, Natalie and I are going to San Antonio to see BON JOVI!!! Friday, the painting for the house begins, and I'm pretty sure I have our sweet little niece for the night!  :)

NOLA!!!

Jeff and I had a couple more days before we had to get back to Houston after the festivities in Alabama, so, we decided to go through New Orleans and stay a night. It was the Monday night before Fat Tuesday. Of course, this is a HUGE deal in New Orleans. We stayed in Metaire, which is right outside of downtown New Orleans. When we got there Monday afternoon, we decided to go on downtown to check things out. We didn't want to be down there at night, due to the fact that I'm almost seven months pregnant and Bourbon Street is no place for a pregnant lady to be. It was CRAZY!!!!! There were so many people just walking down the street. They were dressed up in ridiculous outfits. It was definitely an experience.  Later, we decided to walk to the parade in Metaire. It wasn't very far from the hotel, thank goodness. We got there very early (neither of us had been to a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans,) and we waited for the parade for about 2 hours. Once it got there, it was awesome!! It was definitely worth the wait!!

We had such a great time at home and in New Orleans. I wish I would have gotten a picture of Jeff's "beard" that he grew while we were gone. :)
Next week is pretty eventful! We have a doctor's appointment Tuesday and Thursday, I am going with Teeny and Ms. Natalie to see my absolute favorite band, BON JOVI!!!!!! I have been obsessed with them for the longest time, and I am so happy that I finally get a chance to see them. So, stay tuned...

Matt (Drew's husband) has a brother that is a hunting guide in Georgia. Peyton Manning came to go hunting, and Matt asked him to sign a football. So, this is Harrison's first autographed football from Peyton Manning!

A Wedding and A Shower

This past Wednesday, Jeff and I set out on a road trip to Alabama. My dear friend, Tara, was getting married! When we got there Wednesday, we went and met Mom, my stepdad, Jesie, Katie and Caleb at my favorite little restaurant in Atmore. We had a nice dinner. Thursday, I met Tara at the Wind Creek Spa and got a wonderful prenatal massage and pedicure! It was wonderful!! Friday, the wedding festivities began! There was a bridesmaid luncheon Friday afternoon, followed by the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Saturday was the big day! The wedding was beautiful!! The groom's cake was made entirely out of Little Debbie cakes! I didn't get a taste, but it looked yummy! Tara and Blake are in Cancun for their honeymoon this week, and I am very jealous!!

Later on that night, Jeff and I spent some time with my very best friend, Drew, and her family. Her little girl, Brantley, kept us entertained by putting fake tattoos on each of us. I only have a picture of mine, but she was really good and we had a great laugh!

Sunday, my family and Drew threw me a baby shower for Harrison!! I was very excited. Katie made the cake and it was super cute. (I don't have a picture of it yet, but my mom has one. She is sending it to me shortly.) It was such a great shower. I was so excited to see some of my family and friends that I hadn't seen in a very long time. Harrison made out like a bandit with all of his gifts. We even received some gifts all the way from Houston! I am extremely grateful to Mom, Katie, Aunt Laura, Nanny and Drew for going through so much trouble to make sure I had a wonderful day!
