What I'm Loving Wednesday

I got this from a friend's blog. Every Wednesday, they post a few things that they are loving, hence, the title of the this post.  :)

I'm loving the beginning of football season!!  Alabama starts playing this weekend, and it's been like Christmas in this house. Jeff has a countdown, and every day we have heard it. At the beginning of this week, it was like he was five again! It's like this every year.  I don't think we will make it to any games this year, but as long as we are able to watch the games, we will be great in this house. Pro football also starts soon. My sweet husband got us tickets to see the Texans and Colts play on my birthday.  We are big  Peyton Manning fans here, but we will have to go for the Texans. Not only are they the hometown team, but a good part of the team is made up of former Alabama players.
ROLL TIDE!!!

I'm loving these guys!  I am so blessed to have these two guys in my life!! I couldn't ask for a more perfect husband and little boy.  I love watching them together. Jeff is so wonderful with Harrison. I can't get enough!!

Harrison and Daddy on H's birthday!

Last one. I'm loving Big Brother! I am completely obsessed, and I am happy to say that I have gotten my husband hooked too.  I started watching it with my friend, Jamia from home during the second season. I took a break for a few seasons. Then, when I started working at the office, Mary was watching it. I got back into it, and have been obsessed ever since. I often think about going on there, but I doubt I could make it very long. Watching the people on there is enough excitement for me. :)

We have a big week coming up. We have two concerts and a football game, and I am sure other things!

2 month check up

We went to see Dr. Chandler today. I must say, I was ready to see how much the boy had grown, but I was dreading these shots. Especially after our visit to the E.R. When he was a week old. Harrison weighs 12lbs and 11oz. He is 23.25 inches long! He is the 50-75 percentile for both. She said that he is above average in everything. She did the exam and said that he looks fat, happy and beautiful, which is perfect! He was happy for the first half of the visit. Then, she brought in the shots! Jeff managed to get off work for the appointment. Thank goodness he did, because I don't think in would have been able to handle it. He held him while she gave him the shots. As soon as she did the first one, Harrison and I both started crying. Poor little guy! I am very glad that we got this visit over with. I would like to think that they will get easier as he gets older, but I won't hold my breath!

8 Weeks with our sweet little boy!!!

I have been asked by family members to update the blog to share Harrison with everyone.  These past eight weeks have been so wonderful with him. Things have changed so much in just the past few weeks! He is finally getting into a routine (mostly at night, we're still working on the daytime.) This past Friday night, he slept from 9:30 to 4, which was a big step up. Then, Saturday night, he slept from 9 to 5! I had to wake him up at 5.  I seriously thought something was wrong with the boy. Jeff, of course, was as calm as could be and told me that I was overreacting and this is what kids do. Sunday night, he slept from 9 to 6! We had a little setback last night, but hopefully, we will get back on track tonight.

Harrison:

-can hold his head up for a little while (and hold it steady for the most part. I still get a head to the mouth every once in a while.)
-smiles ALL THE TIME!!!
-LOVES his baths!! Last night, he splashed himself! It scared him at first, but then he just kept doing it.
-will sit in his dad's lap and just watch sports. He's learning early, but in this family, I would have expected nothing less.
-also loves his play mat.  Look for a video as soon as I figure out why it won't post. :)
-still loves to be outside! Jeff, Harrison, Sam and I go for walks when Jeff is off or gets home early.
-likes tummy time for a few minutes.

Next week, we have Harrison's 2 month appointment. Mama is so not ready for that one. He has to get shots.  Jeff is going with us, because after the NICU, I know that I won't be able to handle it. We also get to welcome Reese back next week. Big cousin has been in Cape Cod visiting her grandmother, and we sure have missed her around here.

Enjoy!!
