Harrison's Crib

Wednesday, after work, Jeff and I went to pick up the crib from Babies R Us. We, well, Jeff and the guy from the store, about didn't get the crib in the Tahoe. I was a little worried there for a minute, but they managed to fit it in there.  Saturday, Jeff texted me and said that he thought he may need some help to put it together. I asked who he was going to get, and he said that he thought Reese would help him out. She has been very concerned about where Baby Cousin is going to sleep. So, he asked Teeny if they could come over Sunday. We asked Gammy to come over too.  Reese helped Jeff unpack the box and carry all of the parts up the stairs, which is more than I can say, because, let's face it, I'm not too good with stairs. Reese helped Jeff for a little bit by handing him things and testing it out. Her doll, Baby, tested everything out too.  They got it all put together, and it looked GREAT!!! Jeff and his helper did an awesome job. I am so proud of them and how well they did!! Harrison is such a lucky little boy to have this man as his dad!!

Baby was testing it out to see how it slept. :)

The finished product!

We still have things to get, but I feel so much better now that we have the crib together and ready for him to get here.  :) Only 7 and a half weeks left!!!

Concerts...better late than never!

One of our favorite things to do is go to a concert. Whenever Jeff and I get a chance, we're there. We have been to rock, country, pop, classic rock...you name it! However, there are some that Jeff let's me have, like Bon Jovi. :) Last year, Bon Jovi came to Dallas, and we didn't get to make it. This year, Telena, Ms. Natalie and I vowed to make the trip to San Antonio to see the group. I know this is admitting my "nerd factor," but my sisters and I listened to Bon Jovi ALL THE TIME  when we were younger. True, Jesie was about four at the time, but she loved her some Bad Medicine.
Being 27 weeks pregnant at the time of this concert, I didn't know how I was going to handle it. We had seats in, well, let's call it the upper deck.  I wasn't able to stand the whole time, but I thought I help up pretty well for having been VERY pregnant. Telena, Ms. Natalie and I had a wonderful time!!! It was so much fun!! We did learn that they are coming to Houston in May, but I think my ability to enjoy a concert would be greatly diminished by the time they get here. :)

A couple days after Bon Jovi, Jeff and I made our annual trip the the Houston Livestock and Rodeo.  Performers come every night to the rodeo, which lasts for about 3 weeks, I believe. This year, I introduced Jeff to Jason Aldean and his music. He quickly became a fan. When I saw that he was coming to close the rodeo, we snatched up tickets! We got to see all of the championship rounds of the rodeo, and my favorite, Mutton Bustin' (yes, that is what they call it. Little kids ride sheep like cowboys ride bulls.) It's one of the cutest things ever! We had a great time watching that and then the concert! Jason Aldean puts on a GREAT show!!! My best friend, Drew, had told me that he did, and I do trust her judgement, but I had to see for myself.

That's the concert update for the past few months. There probably won't be many more of the concert blogs for a little while. :)

Update on the Little Man

We went back to see Dr. G today.  It was a short and sweet visit, but Dr. G said that everything is looking great! Harrison's heart rate was 155. My blood pressure and measurements were all great.  We go back in two weeks....yes, the frequent visits are starting!! Jeff and I were having a discussion about how this pregnancy has flown by. Although, some days, it seems like it is dragging out and it seems as though Harrison is never going to get here.  Everything is in full swing though. The crib came in today.  Jeff and I will go pick it up tomorrow. I will post some pics of my resident handy man putting it together. :)  We even went and bought some onesies the other day.  It was a little overwhelming to think that we will have something to put in those onesies in two months!! As overwhelming as it is, we get more and more excited each day. I know we share the same feelings with a lot of people, but we are so ready to meet our sweet little boy!!!
