7 Months

I know, I know...it has taken me forever to post his 7 month stats.  The Luker household has been infected these past couple of weeks. H and I had a virus in Georgia, and apparently, it followed us home.  Jeff acquired the virus, and right after that, Harrison got a cold.  Then, of course, I got the cold. So, it has been a whirlwind of a week. Among all the sickness, our sweet boy turned seven months old!!! He is just 5 months away from being a year old!!! This is just beyond me.  He is growing so much everyday and becoming his own little person.  He is such a fun and active little boy!! We can't wait to see his personality develop even more!

Harrison:

-is down to taking 2 naps a day! We finally have somewhat of a nap schedule.  It only took us about 6.5 months, but we got it down!
-is taking baths like a big boy. He still sits in his baby tub, but he is sitting up and playing.
-LOVES all solid food!! His new favorite is yogurt!! We tried him on the Gerber brand, and he liked it.  Then, Aunt Teeny gave us some that she had, and he LOVES it.  He is like his Daddy with his fondness of fruits and yogurt.
-is talking up a  storm.  He has "dada" down to an art! We're still working on "mama."
-is still working on crawling.  He will still go backwards and rock on his hands and knees. I'm sure it won't be long before he is on the move, and I am pulling my hair out.
-went on his first bike ride with Aunt Teeny on Sunday.  From what we hear, biking is his new favorite thing.
-still only has the 2 teeth. I am almost positive that he has more coming in after what has went on today.
-is in a convertible car seat.  We got him a new one last week.  He was fitting a little snug in the infant car seat, and with the new laws, you have to have them rear facing until they are two.  And since he is over the weight requirement, we thought he may be a little more comfortable. He loves it.  He is still trying to figure it out, as well as where his hanging toys are.

Harrison,
Mama and Daddy love you so much, and we are having so much fun watching you grow.  We can't wait to see what the next month brings. You are the light of our lives!!
Happy 7 months!!!

National Champions!!

ROLL TIDE!!!! We were so excited for a chance at another National Championship.  Luckily, I got back the day before the game. Jeff and I went to an Alumni bar downtown call Firkin and Phoenix.  Our friends, Steve and Lauren, got there early and got us a seat right up front.  We were right in front of the big screen.  The place was packed with Bama fans and two sad LSU fans. :)  Gammy watched the baby for us, but he was at home representing his team, don't worry!  We had a wonderful time and we are so glad that the game turned out in our favor! Bama played hard, and the Bama nation will get to enjoy another year of being the best in the country!! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

Brad Smelley!!! (that's Steve, but he was yelling for Brad!)

Six Month Pictures

Sorry they are so late! And yes, I realize that he will be 7 months next week!

Our Adventure to Georgia

Since Drew has been here three times in the past year, I decided that it was time that Harrison and I went to Georgia to see them. Drew, Matt and Brantley have moved into a new house since the last time that I was there, so I wanted to check it out.  We left last Monday morning. We had a flight to Tampa, and then one to Tallahassee.  Tallahassee is only about an hour or so from Albany. I was very nervous about Harrison on the flight. Jeff and I have a VERY active little boy, so I knew that he would want to be constantly moving, and it's just not possible on a plane. He ate while we took off, and he did well for a little while. Then I knew that he was getting tired. I managed to get him to sleep for a little bit. When he woke up, he was not happy. Luckily, we only had a few minutes left.  The next flight was only about 45 minutes. He did great on that flight. It was a smaller plane, and he got to look out the window the whole time. When we got to Tallahassee, we went to pick up our luggage, and it wasn't there!!! Drew had come in just in time to see my start to panic! The car seat was with the luggage.  After talking to the lady at the counter, we found out that it would be in Albany the next day.  Meanwhile, Drew and Matt went and picked up a new car seat and a couple necessities while H and I walked around a very small airport. We finally made it to Albany about 8:30 that night. (I finally got all of my luggage on Wednesday! Part of it came in Tuesday, and the rest on Wednesday.)
The next day, Katie and Taryn came in to see us!!  We were so excited!!! Katie's friend, Meg, lives in Columbus, Ga, so she stopped through to see her and her new baby girl.
Sweet baby girl!!!

It was funny...this little hat is too big for Taryn, and it will hardly fit on H.

Aunt Katie and Harrison!

Brantley was an awesome babysitter! The kids LOVED her!

They played so well together!
Katie and T stayed Tuesday night, and we kinda just stayed around the house on Wednesday. They left later on that afternoon. I was so sad to see them go. Harrison absolutely loves Katie and Taryn. Hopefully, it won't be too long before we get to see them again!
Thursday, Drew, Brantley, Harrison and I went out and did a little shopping.  Harrison did so well! He was exhausted by the time we got back though! That night, Drew's SIL, Randi, came over to watch the kids while we went to go eat. There is a place that does music trivia on Thursdays, and we were going to go there. However, that was the one Thursday night that they weren't doing it.  I was so sad. So, we went to Mellow Mushroom instead. They had a live band that night, and it was a lot of fun!
Friday, things turned bad! We all came down with a stomach virus. Nobody felt well Friday or Saturday, so we were pretty low key.
Sunday morning, we left for Tallahassee for our trip back.  Thankfully, H and I both felt better, or well enough to fly.  I hated to leave. We always have so much fun when we visit with the Kunkles.  Drew cooked for us all week, and I am positive I gained about 5 pounds! It was SO GOOD!!!! I also got to eat some Krispy Kreme doughnuts!! The only thing that I didn't get was Krystal! I promised Jeff I wouldn't eat it since he wasn't there.
Brantley and Harrison!

Drew and I Thursday night.

Aunt Drew and Harrison.

We had a layover in Tampa, so we played for a while.
Harrison did really well on the flights back home. He was SO excited to see Daddy! I was as well.  H saw him walking up before Jeff saw us and he gave the biggest smile! We had so much fun in Georgia, and we can't wait for our beach trip with them in May!!
