I know...I'm about three weeks behind, but to say it's hectic with a two-year old and a newborn is putting it mildly!
The day FINALLY came when I was to go in and have baby Hudson! I was scheduled for the c-section at 8:30 that morning. Jeff and I got up and went on in, while Mom brought Harrison in a little later. They have changed things around at the hospital, and people weren't let back before we went into the operating room. My nerves were a lot more apparent, we'll say, this time-due to how the last c-section went. I was assured that this time would be different, and it totally was! The surgery went excellent! I was awake the whole time, and that meant that Jeff got to stay! Thank the Lord!!

We did get to bring Harrison back before since he was the "big brother." He was little frightened by the IV and machines hooked up to me. |

Getting ready! |
At 8:49 a.m. on May 21, we welcomed Hudson Bryant Luker into the world! He weighed 6 lbs even and was 18.25 inches long...much smaller than his brother! Everything was great with him. They cleaned him up, and went with his Daddy out to get, um, cleaned more.

Sweet boy! |
Hudson was perfectly healthy. He's just tiny. :) We stayed Tuesday and Wednesday night, and then on Thursday morning, the nurse said that I had my orders to be discharged. We just had to wait on Hudson's, but we would get out of there that day! We were so excited to be going home earlier than expected! My mom came out and kept Harrison at the house while we were in the hospital. I don't think he missed us too much. He was too busy talking about "Gigi's truck!" When we left the hospital, Hudson was down to 5'9," so we had to go in to the pediatrician's office Friday to get him weighed. He was back up. Then, the next Tuesday, we took him in because he had been having some tummy issues. Turns out, he has reflux. His reflux is doing so much better since he was prescribed baby Zantac. I'm so glad we caught it before it got too bad. He had his two week checkup this past Tuesday, and he is weighing in at 6'11" and is 19.25 inches! Growing, growing, growing!!! She said that everything looked absolutely great with him. We are so thankful that he is very healthy!!

Can you tell they're brothers? (Thanks Katie!) |

No pics, please! (Thanks Gammy!) |

He is such a great brother. He helps feed him, change his diaper, and he just loves on him all the time. |

Hudson wasn't too happy, but Harrison wanted to "see baby." |
After my mom left, Natalie came to stay a couple nights to help out. Recovering from surgery limited my mommy duties for a little bit. After she left, Drew flew in for ten days!!!! She came in for the same amount with Harrison. I am so thankful for everyone that helped out!! It means so much to us! Although, I did get spoiled on having meals cooked for me. Gotta get back into the habit of that!
These past couple of weeks have been so wonderful, crazy, exciting, exhausting, etc! I can only imagine what the future holds with these two boys. :)
