Friday was FINALLY moving day! We were so excited. The plan was for us to get up, and I would go ahead and take the boys to school. Then, I would go clean the house while Jeff went to meet the movers at the storage unit. Well, that didn't happen. The movers called while I was taking the boys and told Jeff that the guy that usually drives the 30-foot truck had a wreck earlier, so they would have to wait. They would call us when they were on their way. Meanwhile, Jeff and I went ahead and took stuff over to the house from Terry and Amy's and started cleaning. Finally, at 2:30 p.m. (they were supposed to be there at 8 a.m.) the movers called and said they were on their way to the storage unit. They sent us an extra guy to help since they were super late. I believe they finally left the house at 9 p.m. Jeff and I set up our bed and crashed around 10:30.
Earlier, Mom and Paul had come into town. They got the boys around 11 or so and took them with them to the campground to spend the night and hang out with them and Harv and Bett.

Gigi and Pappy got a new camper, so the boys hung out. The weather wasn't the best while they were there. |
Hanging out by the campfire. H looks a little tired, huh?
Saturday morning, Harrison had soccer photos and a game. I will say, that kid played hard!! He got to throw the ball in, and he managed to get a foot on it a time or two! We were so proud!
Before we left the house, he had fallen and bloodied up his little knee. He was being EXTRA careful not to hurt it while he was taking his pictures. |
Taking a rest from playing.... |
Meanwhile, this kid was running Daddy ragged trying to run all over the other fields. |
The boys went back to the campground with Mom and Paul, then they brought them home around 5 that evening. Sunday was spent unpacking and unpacking and unpacking.
This was Sunday riding toys down the driveway. H was helping Huddy. So sweet. The boys were both so excited to get all of their toys out of storage. We've hardly seen Harrison because he has been in his room playing most of the time. |
Monday, I took off work to work on the house. Around 2:15, I got a phone call from the school saying that Huddy had woken up from his nap crying and with a 101.5 degree fever. I called the pediatrician immediately, and they said that they could see him at three. Thank goodness. Turns out, the baby had a double ear infection. He was not happy to be there. He didn't want anyone to touch him, especially his ears...just like his Aunt Katie with that one. He weighed 31 lbs. though! This kid hardly ever shows any signs of his ears being infected. We usually don't know until he has a fever or has goop. He's such a trooper when it comes to that stuff. The doctor said that he should be starting to grow out of the ear infections since he has passed two. Hopefully, she's right.

Yes, I got him a milkshake. Poor guy. |
This was after a dose of children's Advil. He felt somewhat better. |
Yesterday, he didn't wake up until 11! Then, he took a three-hour-nap and still went to bed at 7:30. He was so pitiful. The night before, he fell asleep in my arms on the couch. Talk about melting my heart! |
Luckily, today, he felt so much better. I let him sleep this morning to see how he felt, and he was a whole new Huddy when he woke up.
There's our happy boy! Thumbs up! |
We are slowly but surely getting the house together. I forgot how long it takes for it all to be done. We are waiting on carpet in the game room and a couple other things, but it's coming together.
